Volunteering
Volunteers are an important part of OBLT and what makes us — well, US! They are valued members of our teams and work together with our staff to ensure quality programming is provided.
Whether you wish to help with little ones in Munchkinland, drive the WOW bus, provide tech support in our TLC, be a director on our Board, or assist at one of our special events – there are opportunities to fit every schedule and interest.
Current Opportunities
Technology Learning Centre (TLC)

Not stumped by the latest technology? Are you the “go to” techie in your group of friends and family? Like to help seniors and have a few hours to spare? If you answer YES to any of these questions, we’d love to hear from you! Our Technology Learning Centre (TLC) is seeking volunteers to do 1:1 tutoring in our Parksville classroom on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Please call 250-947-8258 for more information or to offer your help.
Board Members

Do you have a passion for literacy and want to make a difference? OBLT is looking for committed people in the community who can lend their enthusiasm to a dynamic board. Board meetings are held monthly. If you would like to find out more, please email admin@oblt.ca and tell us a little bit about yourself and we’ll get back to you.

Storybook Village
Open July to August
This gem of a play area in Qualicum Beach opens children’s imagination as they explore kid-sized buildings and roadways that make up the little village. You’ll be helping our program facilitator ensure the village’s “residents” are safe and having fun!
